Tips for Buyers
Since you may or may not own the property you purchase for the entire 30 years of the mortgage, here are some tips to consider when making your purchase.
Work with ONE real estate agent that you are comfortable with. Hire this agent as your Buyer’s Agent! This makes it easier for the agent to keep you updated on properties that may meet or exceed your expectations.
Even though you may see the words “exclusive” on a listing, the current real estate agent you are working can still show and sell that listed “exclusive” property.
You always need to consider in back of your mind “resale”, since you may not keep the property forever. Thus, you should look for property with the following attributes that will enhance resale value:
- Property should have parking.
- Property should have an exclusive use outdoor area.
- Water-views is always desired, thus property with water-views should have strong resale value.
- The higher the number of legal bedrooms, the better!! Studios are harder to rent and harder to sell, in most cases.
